Staying on it

Considering it is the holidays and I am not training for any big races, I think I am doing ok. I have been running about 25 miles a week, riding 2-3 times a week with coach Troy (he kicks my butt!) and well, I have only swam once...but I was out of town!

I decided that Cowtown is my only real option for a marathon this season because I am cheap and don't want to spend the money to go anywhere else to run. So I signed up. Now that I have money on it I am in for sure. I have done a 10 and 12 mile run with a 14 scheduled for tomorrow.

Santa gave me the money to sign up for Lonestar! I think I will do that right now before I end up eating the money...

The Itch

Yesterday I went to the Whiterock marathon to cheer on Mom, Kara, Zach and many of my tri friends and now I've got the itch! I did not plan any marathons for this winter because Cozumel was so late in the season, but now I am considering Cowtown in February or OKC in April. OKC might jeopardize the 70.3 in Galveston that I would like to do on April 25th, so I best stick with Cowtown if I am going to get in a marathon this season...

Another Blog!

Not because I have too much time on my hands, but because I like to look back on my training and this is as good a place as any. Just finished my Ironman Cozumel blog http://www.imcozumel.blogspot.com/ and now I need someplace to blog that won't have an end date. So here we go.

I am 2 weeks post IM Cozumel and I am ready to set my sites on the next goal. I have a few 70.3s in mind for 2010 but nothing concrete. I know that I do not want to do a full iron distance in 2010, but will most likely do another one in 2011 (gotta get that run time down!).

I started running and biking again this week and I feel great. Pete bought a tandem yesterday! We rode today for the first time and I totally love it; can't wait to go smoke some of the tours this summer.

Keep moving forward...
